Hailing from the surf-rich shores of Java, Sofi brings 8 years of experience and a deep love for the ocean. From his early days as a beach boy to coaching at top surf camps, he’s helped surfers of all levels ride with confidence. With a friendly approach and expert guidance, Sofi makes learning fun, safe, and rewarding. Whether it’s your first wave or your next challenge, Surfing With Sofi is where the adventure begins. Not at all! Our lessons are designed for all skill levels, including complete beginners. The instructor will guide you through the basics and help you feel comfortable in the water.

Bring swimwear, a towel, waterproof sunscreen and dry clothes – we’ll take care of the rest!

The lesson lasts 2 hours, including theory and a briefing on what you'll learn that day.

Yes! Surfing is safe for beginners when you take lessons with a qualified instructor, use the right equipment, and follow safety guidelines. We’ll teach you the basics, including how to stay safe in the water.

The lesson will continue in light rain, but if there’s a thunderstorm, we’ll have to cancel. We’ll stay in touch to find a new date if needed.
